Where to Go in Cebu - Tingko Beach

Seriously, this was the cheapest place we been to when we Conquered  Cebu last December. It is 30 minutes away from my friend's hometown, Dalaguete. So, right after the the Obong Spring Experience, we then proceeded to this beautiful beach.

Tingko Beach is a public white-sand beach in Daan Lungsod, Alcoy. The KM 95 marker indicates the distance of the beach from the city. No entrance fee. Beachgoers do not have to spend a single centavo to enjoy the sand, the sun and  the sea. According to some locals, the beach can be crowded during weekends where locals and city folks, and occasionally, foreigners, flock to enjoy the gorgeous beach.

Those row of charming white houses at the end of the shoreline is a community of German Nationals who fell in love with the place and the people  adds beauty to the beach. Cottages like the above picture are available for rent. The rate ranges from Php 900 - 1500. We chose to stay at the Barangay Beach House to help the community. The rate for an overnight stay is PhP 600 (negotiable). It includes 1 bedroom that can accommodate 3-5 people, 1 bathroom, kitchen and balcony.

Tingko beach offers a kilometer shoreline of white sand and crystal clear water, wherein you can enjoy an early morning walk as you gaze up to the sunrise, dive and snorkel, read a good book, videoke, or just enjoy the sweetness of doing nothing. For me, this is a perfect spot for a photo shoot with my signature all white outfit every time I visit a place.

A complete set of cruiseuers: Jen, Jelaine, Jim, Richard singing along while Me Majal and Nathan were photo-shooting at the back.
